There’s been a lot of talk about Industry 4.0 in recent years – and we’ve been listening!

Our new MTInterfaceService Level Agreement (SLA) does just that – it helps organizations better understand the performance of their friction welding machine while monitoring conditions that signal availability, productivity, or quality issues. The MTInterface system centralizes the collection of machine level data in a dashboard [shown below] that provides at-a-glance views of key performance indicators. But the MTInterface system is much more than a dashboard of charts and data – it also includes comprehensive service support to help identify and address potential machine performance issues before they start to negatively impact quality or production. How it Works

It all starts with the Industrial Internet of Things (IIOT), which is the use of internet-connected devices and sensors that enable real-time data monitoring and analysis. Richard further explains, “IIoT has been game-changing technology that has revolutionized the way manufacturers operate by enabling the digital transformation of industrial processes. MTI is on the leading edge, using the latest technology so our customers can gain valuable insights into their operations, make informed decisions, and identify performance improvement opportunities.” 

Data from your MTI friction welding machine is collected and then securely transmitted to the cloud so an experienced MTI Support Engineer can also see active issues and access data for analysis. Our service experts review the data and provide monthly recommendations for improving machine performance, increasing uptime, and upcoming maintenance needs. 

The MTInterface system includes a full Machine Performance and Condition Monitoring connection, dashboard of key performance metrics, real-time monitoring and alerts, monthly service action reports and priority service support including remote access. When you opt for one of our MTInterface SLA packages, you gain access to a variety of benefits, such as: 

  • Remote Support: Vuforia Chalk facilitates the troubleshooting process between MTI service experts and field technicians, enabling our experts to analyze a machine without having to travel onsite. 
  • Priority Help Desk: As an MTInterface subscriber, the MTI Priority Help Desk will respond to you within 4 business hours and have an update on a resolution or schedule within 24 business hours. 
  • Add-on data options: Customized options are available, ranging from plant data integration to vibration sensor monitoring to barcode serialization for part traceability.
